This listing is per one 18" premium polyurethane Power Band tarp strap by Energy Suspension.
The POWER BAND tie down strap, made of HYPER-FLEXmaterial, is designed to be elastic enough to stretch easily to holding points. The wrong degree of elasticity of ordinary rubber tie down straps will pull eyelets from tarps, damage goods and require the strength of an Olympic power lifter to use.
Each size POWER BAND was engineered for its own requirements. This means–a shorter band requires a thinner section of material.
The formulation created for this application is so strong, we guarantee them to be unbreakable, when used as directed.
We initially tested the bands with standard S hooks. The steel S hooks straightened-out before the POWER BAND broke. Special holding fixtures had to be made to test for the actual breaking point. Our 24 inch POWER BAND actually stretched to 10 feet, seven inches before breaking. The 31 inch band stretches to 13 feet! These are not practical usage numbers, but it does show the incredible elastic strength of our material. We also decided to use a full 3/16 inch diameter stainless steel for our S hooks which added strength to help resist corrosion.
Remember... only the rich can afford ordinary, short-lived tie down straps. Let them buy them again, and again, and again.
HYPER-FLEX replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently.
HYPER-FLEX is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on the a particular product application on a vehicle. Performance tested, it's used for all of Energy's products–giving a higher level of performance and durability!

HYPER-FLEX polyurethane provides longer component life (3 to 10 times over rubber), cutting the cost of vehicle operation! Clearly, durability is superior to most rubber components that are used for trucks and service vehicles– of all classes.
